The Missing Half of the Body
Hey there, hope you are crushing your training!
Today’s email is going to be a good one.
It’s all about the missing half of the body that no beginner ever seems to use: The Legs.
The legs are the strongest part of your body but yet, using the legs seems to be the most missing component to everyone’s game, especially in the beginning. Truthfully, I don’t think people start realizing how to use the legs until they’re blue belts into purple.
Reason being is that we don’t really think about our legs in everyday life. Whether we’re working at a desk, cooking dinner, or running errands, you aren’t necessarily mindful of what your legs are doing so long as you’re not tripping over something. They’re on autopilot.
But, in contrast, you do pay attention to what your hands are doing making sure they’re typing the right words, not touching hot pans and even grabbing things out of your pocket. This translates to jiu-jitsu.
In today’s email, I’m going to show some tips on how to start incorporating your legs into your training and why it’s just as important as “Underhooks” with the upper body.
Let’s GO!
