Setting up Attacks Based on Your Opponent's Defense
Hey there, hope you’re crushing your training week!
One of the themes in my lessons last week was the idea of learning how to take advantage of your opponent’s defense.
The thing is, there’s no such thing as a submission that wins 100% of the time. Every submission can be defended (with varying degrees of difficulty). The major challenge is seeing new opportunities at the moment when a submission is being defended.
Every successful defense will lead to a new submission opportunity.
This has been the theme of the week especially since I noticed how many of my students saw an opportunity, chased it and failed to follow up with subsequent attacks.
In today’s video, I’m going to show a couple of examples of how to follow up on your attacks based on a couple of submissions.
In it, you’re going to learn how to spot new opportunities based on how your opponent defends the attack (also, how to spot when your opponent is not defending).
It’ll be a short video, roughly 12 minutes long with some good information.
