My Private Lesson VAULT is officially back!
When I first started this newsletter, the goal was to showcase a lot of the lessons and concepts I was covering in my private lessons. Over time, I felt like I wasn’t providing much value with it and thought I could provide more with writing out longer form articles (over the span of weeks) to highlight some of the major concepts and principles I thought were important (like underhooks, standing in jiu-jitsu, and operating with the use of levers).
Now I’m thinking, Why not both??
Last week, I revisited the old Private Lesson Note format and got some great feedback. I’m also finding that I have so much content that I can get back to this rapid-fire type format and provide some solid information for you.
Further, another great benefit it is shows a variety of concepts in the event you just so happen to be working on something completely different than the main theme I’m working on.
So now, we’re getting back to the old format PLUS, I’ll continue to put out some of the main themes for you (Next Up: Closed Guard).
This week, I taught 4 lessons. We covered a variety of topics and here are the ones we’ll be discussing today:
On Positioning: You’re either the “first mover” or you’re the first “responder”. [Be First]
Learning how to Put Top Pressure (General Concepts + Sparring Narration)
Closed Guard Sequencing: Sequencing is how you stay a step ahead in this game.
Rotation Versus Linearity (How to Destroy Frames)
My BJJ Algo: Yes, I have a pre-planned set of attacking principles
