Private Lesson Notes 10/25
Closed Guard for Competition, Transitioning/Sequencing attacks from Closed Guard, Stabilizing or Attacking in Transition & Advice for new Purple Belts
Alright, quick note before we get started. I went ahead and got the Private YouTube channel set up to supplement the articles I’m writing each week. That said, I may have to tinker with the content schedule (maybe move to Wednesdays OR stagger a week so that I have time to record content and upload).
Today’s email, for example, will be missing a couple of videos so you’ll have to check back later this week (perhaps Wednesday or Thursday). That said, I’ll keep everyone posted with regard to how the YouTube channel changes anything— Also added a quick note at the end of this email

The reason why competition strategy is a nightmare is because it’s much like chess. You really only have control of the opening. When a movement deviates from the plan, it’s all chaos from there. That said, what you expect to happen rarely does and it’s because there are simply way too many variables to consider in jiu-jitsu…
UNLESS, you can find a way to reduce them.
