Pressure Part 2: Guard Passing
Pressure bursts pipes or it makes diamonds.
I say this over and over again because the reality is, knowing how to apply pressure will either bring out the best or the worst in your opponents. They’ll either fold or they’ll rise to the occasion. Knowing how to be first heavy and second relentless are two ways you can raise the probability of your opponent’s folding.
In the first videos, we talked about side control.
Some of the things I showed you were
Where to apply pressure
How to relax to get heavier
How to adjust to your opponent moving
and more!
Today, I want to discuss some of those same principles but apply them to guard passing. I’ll start with half-guard first since it’s similar to side control and you’ll get a pretty clear understanding of how to apply pressure to kill your opponent’s legs and hips.
