End of Levers: Lower Body Edition [Part 2/4]
Hey there, hope you’re crushing your training week and now I’m going to show you how to crush it a little bit more (with leverage).
If you tuned in last week, I talked about leverage. More specifically, I talked about where the levers are in jiu-jitsu so you can know where to apply the pressure with regard to the arms.
Recall that each body part has its own lever. And if you’re looking to attack efficiently (and effectively) you need to know where to apply pressure at each lever.
In today’s email for subscribers, I’m going to talk about lower body levers. They operate similarly to levers of the arms, so it will be a bit of a refresher but also, and more importantly, how you can use levers of the lower body to
A) Help you pass the guard more effectively and
B) How to apply better pressure in your kneebars and toe holds (Sorry, I forgot ankle locks!)
This is the second part of a 4 part series. The next one will include understanding the levers of posture and finally, I’ll narrate a sparring video putting all of these concepts together!
Let’s dive in!
